After ten years not much had changed.
Logan won a physics Nobel Prize, unsurprisingly, thanks to his grandpa´s help.
But he was not there to guide him anymore. He had won because he continued
Mark´s work, his legacy. He had to.
A couple of months after Mark’s
funeral, Logan still couldn’t get over his death. He no longer had someone to
inspire him. He didn’t know how to continue without his advice, how to have
strength, how to wake up every morning without thinking about him, how to clear
his doubts.
A lot of time passed, and Logan
started getting used to the idea that his grandpa wasn’t there anymore. What
gave him strength was what Mark had said to him before dying: “There are
moments which mark your
life; moments when you realize nothing will ever be the same and time is
divided into two parts: before this and after this, my only wish for you is to
continue being who you are. Despite what happens, continue being brilliant and
building this empire of ours. But the most important thing is to be happy.
